Methods: The authors collected 120 patients in the emergency department of the hospital where they were divided into observation group (nurses’ classification management) and control group (routine nursing management) according to different nursing management modes. There was no significant difference in the general data of the two groups of patients and nurses before the intervention. The nursing quality of nurses in two groups were compared after intervention, the incidence of adverse events in two groups and the satisfaction degree of patients in questionnaires. Results: The score of technical nursing, nursing document writing, service standard and basic nursing in the nurses’ nursing observation group were all higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). The incidence of nursing adverse events in the observation group was lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05). The nursing satisfaction rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion: Nursing staff graded management in emergency department can improve nursing operation, normative nursing document writing, improve nurses’ responsibility and business skills, reduce nursing adverse events and improve nursing satisfaction.
