专门论述了利用光谱定量分析寻找和研究矿床的岩石地球化学方法的发展和运用。所介绍的方法可用于发现矿化和研究矿化的形成特征。利用这些方法可有助于加速金属和非金属矿产普查和勘探的速度,还可研究石油、天然气和水的勘探钻孔剖面。造岩元素和金属元素的大量测试对于储油层及其盖层的研究无疑是有益的。
