硫化氢是一种无色的气体,具有腐蛋臭味,燃烧时呈兰色火焰,其比重大于空气,易积聚在低洼处,易溶解于水。日常生活中其来源主要是有机物腐败发酵后产生的。在造纸过程中,以植物为原料的纸浆发酵产生硫化氢,屠宰场的下水道,化粪池等有机物的腐败发酵也产生硫化氢。城市郊区也常见。
