Among the seven existing European kingdoms, the Danish kingdom was the oldest and was founded in the ninth century; however, constitutional monarchy was established relatively late in 1849. The monarch currently in power is Queen Margrethe II, who ascended the throne in 1972 and is 41 years old. She can be regarded as the first fair queen in Denmark. So why is it called “II”? It turns out that in the past women in Denmark were not entitled to ascended the throne, while in the late fourteenth century, a mighty Queen Margaret ruled Denmark in the early fifteenth century and Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the leaders of the three alliances. Her title is “Guardian of the Kingdom.” It was not until June 1953 that Denmark passed a new constitution, which stipulated that women also had the throne inheritance. Accordingly, Margaret II as the eldest daughter of Father Philip VII (and two other sisters), ascended the throne into the Queen. Queen was born on June 16, 1940 in Copenhagen, full name is Margaret Alexander Lynn Thorsdur Ingrid
