詹姆斯.卡梅隆(James Cameron)常常用一鸣惊人的电影大片打破票房记录,像《泰坦尼克号》和《阿凡达》。但是,在2012年3月26日,当他首次完成了独自一人驾驶挑战者潜水器到达地球上最深的地方马里亚纳海沟沟底之后,他创造了一项海洋深潜记录。他的这次探险之旅把公众的注意力吸引到了很少有人涉足的位于深海沟底部的“超深渊带”。
James Cameron often breaks the box office records with blockbuster movie blockbusters like Titanic and Avatar. However, on 26 March 2012, he made a deep sea dive record when he first completed a solo-driven challenger submarine reaching the bottom of the Mariana Trough in the deepest part of the earth. His expedition to this day drew the attention of the public to the “Deep Abyss” at the bottom of the deep trench, where few people were involved.
