8月13至18日,第16届国际艾滋病大会在加拿大多伦多召开。今年适逢艾滋病出世25周年,倡导行之有效而协调一致的全球疫病防控策略的呼声与日俱增。大会官方文件鲜明指出:“国际艾滋病大会将众多代表汇聚一堂,讨论具有政治分歧的生死问题,难免产生争论。但一定要开成一个科学证据重于意识形态、结果重于争论的大会。”
August 13 to 18, the 16th International AIDS Conference held in Toronto, Canada. This year coincides with the 25th anniversary of the birth of AIDS and calls for an effective and coordinated global epidemic prevention and control strategy are on the rise. The official documents of the conference clearly pointed out: “It is inevitable that the AIDS conference will bring together many representatives to discuss the issue of life and death with political differences, but it must be made into a conference whose scientific evidence is more important than ideology and the result is more controversial.”
