著名的苏联教育家苏霍姆林斯基曾认为:儿童是用情感认识世界的。这就告诉我们,在我们小学的英语教学中要想取得教学上的效果不仅仅取决于学生当时的智力水平,还取决于学生对待英语的学习态度、学习动力和学习兴趣等因素。而在小学的英语教学中渗透游戏教学法就能很好地改变幼儿对待英语学习的态度。采用游戏教学法可以适当地激发学生学习的兴趣,让学生更加积极、主动地参与小学英语课堂的学习之中,提高课堂听课的效率,不仅能激发儿童内在的学习动机,游戏活动中的合作形式还能增强学生之间的情感联系。
