In June 1984, the first academic conference of the Mediterranean Association of Chemotherapy was held in Florence. The experts discussed the status of tuberculosis short-course chemotherapy. Reviewed the three stages of tuberculosis treatment experience, described the bacteriological and experimental basis of short-course chemotherapy from the three basic modes of action of anti-tuberculosis drugs, summarized the pharmacology and pharmacokinetics of major anti-tuberculosis drugs and their chemotherapy costs and treatment benefits , Analyzed the trend of the impact of chemotherapy on epidemiology and discussed many complicated problems in tuberculosis chemotherapy.
