This article describes the capsule is a new way of administration. It has been initially shown that rectal administration of perforated nifedipine capsules is more effective than oral administration and can maintain high plasma levels over a longer period of time. This study determined the plasma concentration and hemodynamic changes after nifedipine administration. The subjects were 10 healthy volunteers and 4 patients (2 with variant angina and 2 with angina pectoris). The average volunteer is 27.9 years old and the average patient is 67.4 years old.
