Objective To analyze the correlation between serum levels of IL-10, IL-13, IL-15 and CRP in acute and remission children with Henoch-Schonlein purpura (HSP) and its clinical significance. Methods Forty patients hospitalized with HSP diagnosed as HSP from September 2010 to May 2011 were selected as subjects in the acute stage of HSP. Forty patients underwent normal treatment for about 2 weeks. After the symptoms of rash, abdominal pain and joint swelling disappeared As a remission group study. Serum levels of IL-10, IL-13 and IL-15 in acute and remission stage of HSP children were detected by ELISA double antibody sandwich method. CRP level was detected by immune rate nephelometry. Select outpatient check-up of healthy children over the same period 20 cases as a healthy control group. The data were statistically analyzed by SPSS17.0 software. The levels of IL-10, IL-13, IL-15 and CRP in acute stage of HSP were significantly higher than that in remission group and healthy control group (P <0.01 or <0.05) 13 levels were significantly higher than the healthy control group (P <0.05), while the levels of IL-10, IL-15 and CRP were not significantly different from the healthy control group (P> 0.05) Serum IL-10, IL-13, IL-15 and CRP were significantly correlated between the various indicators. Conclusions There are disorders of secretion of IL-10, IL-13, IL-15 and CRP in children with HSP, which are involved in the pathogenesis of HSP. Among them IL-10 and IL-13 may play a protective role.
