现代科学技术迅猛发展,人类对矿产资源需求量迅速增加。目前露头矿和近地表矿已越来越少,而盲矿和难于识别的矿却日显重要。找寻盲矿和难于识别的矿,更加需要理论指导与技术武装,因此加强以成矿规律为基础的成矿预测研究,是当前地质界面临的一项严重任务。矿产普查勘探的重要问题之一,是远景区、评价点的选好选准问题。实践表明,在许多矿化点中,经工作证实具有工业价值成为工业矿床的,只占百分之几。要使找矿重大决策科学化,必须大力开展成矿预测,将找矿工作建立在科学基础上,从一开始就在远景区、评价点的选好选准上用力气,这样可以迅速筛选“靶区”,集中力量有的放矢,避免在选区选点这个关键问题上走弯路,防止在无远景地段纠缠延误。由此可见,成矿预测是矿床勘查工作的重
