在东北区京剧现代戏观摩演出会上演出的二十七个剧目中,中、小型剧目占了二十一个。这批中、小型剧目以各种不同的演出风格,表现了此较广阔的工农兵斗争生活内容,为演出会增添了绚烂鲜艳的色采。这是东北三省的京剧工作者贯彻文艺为工农兵服务、为社会主义服务的方向的可喜收获。从许多剧团的演出实践的经验证明,中、小型剧目是戏剧艺术为工农兵服务、为政治服务的锐利的轻便武器。在这个方面,中、小型剧目比之大型剧目,确实有着一些有利条件。例如中、小型剧目由于形式比较短小,就能够做到比较迅速地反映现实,及时地配合党的各项政治任务和中心工作:也
Of the 27 plays in the Peking Opera Modern Drama Viewing Performance in the Northeast, 21 medium and small plays account for. These small and medium-sized repertory shows in different kinds of performance styles the contents of this broader struggle of workers, peasants and soldiers and adds gorgeous bright colors to the performance. This is a gratifying achievement for Beijing opera workers in the three northeastern provinces in carrying out the service of literature and art for the workers, peasants, and soldiers and for the service of socialism. Experience from the performance of many theatrical troupes has proved that medium and small plays are sharp, lightweight weapons for the service of the workers, peasants and soldiers as well as for politics. In this respect, there are indeed some favorable conditions for medium and small-scale repertory than for large-scale repertory.
