江南造船厂修船车间最近制造了大批运油槽车。在焊接油槽车体时,运用了新的焊接工艺,并创造了一些先进工作方法和经验。油槽车体主要由9毫米厚3号钢板组成,承重部分钢板厚为12毫米。除封头外,圆筒部分分成两节,每节圆筒先用钢板拼成板幅,然后滚圆,再分别焊接每节的内纵缝。纵缝焊接后简体开始合拢,同时在两端装上封头。因此合拢后共有三条环缝、两条外纵缝需要进行焊接(见图1)。
