移动互联网的发展给电信运营商带来了移动数据流量的巨大提升。但同时,移动数据流量的高速增长也对电信网络承载能力造成巨大冲击,使得运营商不得不通过巨额投资加以应对,否则,业务质量就会出现降低。但是,通过单纯的网络扩容已经很难应对,精细化流量经营是唯一出路。而精细化流量经营最重要的就是要提高流量的价值,特别是流量的边际价值,也就是最大化单位流量的价值。
The development of mobile Internet has brought tremendous increase of mobile data traffic to telecom operators. However, at the same time, the rapid growth of mobile data traffic also has a tremendous impact on the carrying capacity of telecommunication networks, which has forced operators to deal with huge investments. Otherwise, the quality of services will be reduced. However, it has been very hard to cope with the expansion through a mere network, and refined traffic management is the only way out. The most important thing about refined traffic management is to increase the value of traffic, especially the marginal value of traffic, which is to maximize the value of unit traffic.
