Surgery is an effective treatment for Cushing’s disease. The cure rate depends on the ability of the surgeon to find and remove the tumor. With the development of imaging technology, many patients with Cushing’s disease can find pituitary adenomas. However, when no preoperative imaging findings are found, surgeons rely on probing operations to find and remove tumors. The authors reported a group of patients with Cushing’s disease whose MRI was not found to achieve the intended purpose by intraoperative ultrasound (IOUS). Among 107 patients with Cushing’s disease, IOUS technique was applied. Of these, 68 cases were negative for MRI or suspicious tumors existed. These 68 subjects were studied.
