Rivers and lakes have a lot of air. In the natural environment, the water content of the air is usually between 1.5% -2%. Fish throw the gills to filter out the gas that is vital to their life. And the invention by Israeli engineer Alan Bodener may soon be able to breathe in the water like a fish. This technique takes advantage of the fact that water is under high pressure (as in a soda bottle) than it does under normal conditions. Once decompression (such as opening a bottle) gas will escape from the water. The new device works on the principle that a high-speed centrifuge lowers the water pressure in the small water tank and air dissolved in the water turns it into small bubbles for the diver to breathe.
