As we all know, in the information age, the extensive sharing of file data and information has become a symbol of the value of information. The traditional file sharing platform - LAN-class file services, can no longer meet the needs of users in a broader space for data exchange and sharing. As enterprises grow in size and business units spread across the country and across the world, it is imperative to quickly access and share files over the WAN. Limitations of many application designs, including Microsoft Office, directly limit the efficiency of applications over the WAN. At the same time, the high cost of implementing data migration schemes by setting up multiple peer-to-peer storage platforms in various departments also increases the difficulty of implementation. Wide area networks (WANs) with response times as long as 60 to 1000 ms are not for file services compared to stable local area networks (LANs) that respond only 1 to 2 ms. Brocade Tapestry Wide Area File Services WAFS) is designed to solve this problem. WAFS not only uses asynchronous write mode to shorten the response time of the operation, there are hundreds of GB of local disk array used to store the most frequently used content, play the role of Cache, Brocade called Storage Cache over IP, coupled with the transmission IP content to optimize, as much as possible to reduce the amount of data transmitted over the WAN, doubling the performance of WAN transmission of files. The advent of Wide-Area File Services (WAFS) enables remote access to data centers with the same performance as local access. Given this advantage, WAFS enables real-time management and data backup across multiple branches or departments within a business enterprise, research institute, or government. Among other things, WAFS has its absolute advantage: All users are allowed to read and write real-time, 24/7 access to backup data, and LAN technology
