拜金主义不等于商品货币关系，它的实现程度取决于价值观念、道德、法律的综合作用，取决理性的商品货币关系或非理性的商品货币关系。拜金主义不等于规范的求金活动，求金行为是否属于拜金主义，看是否遵从道德、法律和其他市场理性规则。拜金主义不等于合理的金钱观念，要警惕两种错误倾向：一是借口批判“重义轻利”、“重农轻商”，鼓吹“解放思想”下的拜金主义，把“赚钱”作为人生的最高目标或唯一动机；二是借口批判拜金主义而否认金钱（货币）的合理职能和重要性，表现出对市场经济的抵触情绪。
Money worship does not mean commodity currency relations, and its realization depends on the combination of values, morality and law, on the rational commodity currency relationship or on the irrational commodity currency relationship. First, it excuses itself to criticize “making light of the importance and lightness,” “focusing on agriculture and light business,” advocating money worship under “emancipating the mind,” and making “making money” The highest goal or the only motivation; the second is to excuse the criticism of money worship and denied the money (currency) the proper function and importance, showing resistance to the market economy.
