所谓荣辱观,是人们对于荣誉和耻辱的基本观点和看法。是人的世界观、人生观、价值观的反映。体现在德、智、体、美各个方而,是每个人看待自己或评价他人行为的准则,也是每个人应具备的基本素质。2006年3月4日,胡锦涛同志发表《牢固树立社会主义荣辱观》重要讲话,集中华民族传统的美德以及世界道德之优秀,与时代精神相结合,提出“八荣八耻”的社会主义荣辱观。笔者感到,这是结合我国当前现状,最全面、最先进、最代表时代潮流的荣辱观。它高度凝练了爱国主义、集体主义、社会主义思想的基本要求,体现了社会主义道德规范,表达了社会主义风尚的本质、特点;它由浅入深,循循善诱,对当今中华民族进行道德建设,具有切实可行的可操作性;它是中华传统美德和时代精神的完美结合。可以预见随着对它的广泛宣传和贯彻执行,对于提高中华民族现代化素质、全面建设小康社会,将具有重要现实意义和巨大作用。我认为．共产党员应将贯彻执行胡总书记重要讲话精神,当作自己义不容辞的责任。
