《东西洋考每月统记传》(以下简称《东西洋考》)以其独特的历史形象和文化特征,在中国近代报刊发展过程中占有一席之地。因此引起诸多学者的注意,并对其性质做了如下的认定:
Eastern Western Monthly Monthly Biography (hereinafter referred to as Eastern Western Culture) occupies a place in the development of modern Chinese newspapers and periodicals with its unique historical image and cultural features. Therefore, it attracted the attention of many scholars and made the following identification of its nature:
