首都经济迈上新台阶,区域经济发展在其中扮演着重要角色2008是奥运年,更是中国年;2008世界瞩目中国,注视北京.经过两千多个日日夜夜的等待,百年奥运即将来到中国,在期盼与喜悦中赴一场2008北京之约.“,”It is the Olympic Year in 2008,and moreover it is the Year of China. In 2008,the whole world is focusing on China,on Beijing. After over 2000 days of waiting,the Olympiad which possesses a history of more than 100 years will come to China,to attend the appointment with Beijing in cheerful expectation and pleasure. Good news has come from the recently finished Plenary Meeting of Beijing Municipal People's Congress:in 2007, GDP in Beijing RMB 900 billion,with an annual increase rate of 12%.Economy of Beijing has been increased in 2-digit rate since last 9 consecutive years. The total amount of regional economy has been increased continuously,to be strong basis for economic and social development in Beijing.Development orientation of hi-end industry has been insisted firmly,which greatly enhances growing potentiality of Beijing economy;Economic growth pattern has been changed,which upgrades growth quality and efficiency of Beijing economy. Meanwhile,all preparation jobs for Olympic Games have been conducted successfully.26 game venues and 44 individual training venues have been completed,and the 58 surrounding roads and 4 bridges have been finished construction.27 testing games of“Good Luck Beijing”have been successfully held,and all safeguard jobs have been started in order.Upon preparation for Olympic Games,the environmental quality and civilization level of Beijing have improved continuously. Mr.Guo Jinlong,Mayor of Beijing,said that,it is the first year of 2008,to actualize the spirit of 17th Party Congress, and it is also a year of Beijing Olympiad.Beijing will hold high the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics, thoroughly apply the Scientific Outlook on Development, organize with greatest efforts for a special and high-level Olympiad and Paralympiad,pay more attention on general life and social harmony,to ensure economic and social development in a good and fast way in Beijing. Regional economic development has played an important role in upgrading Beijing economy. Definite arrangement of geographic development has been finalized in the latest General Urban Planning of Beijing.The period of“11th Five-Year-Plan”is critical for Beijing to realize the Plan.As the increased process of urbanization of Beijing, and more impendency on balanced development of regions, optimization of geographic layout and improvement of urban function,urban construction will be gradually shifted,and government and social investment will be gradually go outward from downtown.Thus,a golden period of development of districts and counties of Beijing will come.
