随着科学技术的发展,计算机的应用愈来愈广泛,使用者对计算机性能的要求也愈来愈高,要求计算机有触觉、视觉、听觉甚至嗅觉系统即要求智能化。目前、机器人已进入第二代——智能机器人。美国Automatix公司已研制了Cybervision Robovisjon Ⅱ智能机器人系统。已用于检验零件,也可用于制导电弧焊枪、追踪焊缝等。这里只是简单的智能化,即计算机的视觉系统在制造上的应用。
