Joining the WTO is a major strategic decision concerning the overall situation of China’s reform and opening up and the modernization drive and will have a profound and far-reaching impact on the establishment and improvement of China’s economic and social development and the market economic system. The accession to the WTO has brought opportunities and challenges to the Chinese economy and its effects have both advantages and disadvantages.
