鸦片战争是中国近代史的起点。搜集鸦片战争资料的工作,虽然开始较早,而运用马克思主义为指导思想,开展大规模的搜集、整理、出版工作,还是在1949年新中国建立以后的事情。有关这场战争的中外文资料的数量极大,已刊史料极为宏富,本文只能就建国39年以来出版资料的情况,作些纲要介绍和评说。一综合性资料汇编建国之初,为了社会需要,中国史学会主编了一套《中国近代史资料丛刊》,至今已出刊11种,字数约计在1500万字以上,其中《鸦片战争》即是该丛刊的第一种。
The Opium War is the starting point of modern history in China. Although the work of collecting information on the Opium War started earlier, the use of Marxism as its guiding ideology for carrying out large-scale collection, collation and publication work was still something that followed the founding of New China in 1949. The number of Chinese and foreign materials on this war is extremely large. The historical materials published are very rich and prosperous. This article can only give briefings and commentary on the publication of information since the founding of the People’s Republic of China for 39 years.
