将古英语诗歌中的荒野景观置于空间理论视阈下考察,它们呈现出多层次含义:既表现为《贝奥武甫》里与文明空间的对立存在,也可具象《流浪者》等抒情诗歌中人物内心的荒凉,还在《古特拉克A》等宗教性诗歌里体现为人物发展的阈限阶段。这些个人、社会、宗教方面的指涉意义折射出盎格鲁·撒克逊时期日耳曼传统和基督教传统合力作用下人们对社会关系、身份构建和家园概念的认知,具有丰富的历史文化蕴涵。
The landscapes in the ancient English poetry are examined under the perspective of spatial theory. They present a multi-level meaning: they are not only reflected in the opposition between Beowulf and civilized space, but also as lyrical poems such as The Wanderer The inhuman desolation in the characters is also reflected in the threshold stage of the development of characters in such religious poems as “Gu Trak A”. These personal, social and religious referential meanings reflect the people’s understanding of the social relations, identity construction and homeland concept under the synergistic effect of the Germanic and Christian traditions in the Anglo-Saxon period and have rich historical and cultural implications.
