克孜尔水库建成后,渭干河上游水量得到有效控制,渭干河综合效益显著提高,渭干河灌溉农业由建库前的192万亩增加到目前的350万亩,同时渭干河灌区洪水得到了有效的控制,克孜尔水库在2002年“7.23”百年一遇特大洪水发挥了巨大经济和社会防洪效益,近年来随着库车石油新城和“龟兹”旅游文化发展,克孜尔水库发电、旅游、养殖业也有了长足发展。克孜尔水库的建成带动了相关产业的迅速发展,所带来的综合效益十分显著。
