党的群众路线的提出与中国古代传统的民本主义思想是密不可分的,群众路线实际上是对中国古代民本主义的传承和扬弃,它与传统的民本主义有深刻的内在联系,但同时也有本质上的区别。两者在对“人”的认识上都提倡人道主义和人文关怀,而党的群众路线继承和发扬了传统民本主义中进步、合理、能为今所用的内容,并结合我国不同时期的具体国情而不断发展,逐步走向理论成熟。相反,两者所说的“人”和服务的对象是不同的,在与民本主义思想的对比研究中,我们可以更加深入了解群众路线的深刻内涵。
