为了加速松嫩平原的开发,把已获得的科研成果和当地的传统经验变成生产力,一九八一年,黑龙江省科委下达了“万亩甜菜丰产综合技术试验”课题任务,由安达县人民政府、中国农业科学院甜菜研究所、轻工业部甜菜糖业研究所共同主持承担。试验在安达县万宝山、羊草两个公社五个大队四十一个生产队中进行。从一九八一年开始,历时三年,完成了预期试验任务。一九八一、一九八二年万亩甜菜单产达到和超过了计划指标;一九八三年测产平均亩产二点二七吨,含糖率三年平均十六度,初步形成了一个大面积甜菜综合丰产栽培技术模式。
