High surplus is not necessarily a good thing, depends on whether it is brought about by the improvement of exports or the decline of imports. If it is the latter, it only shows that the economy is getting worse. After the financial crisis, the contribution made by foreign trade in the Chinese economy was greatly reduced. However, in the recent two quarters, the substantial increase in the trade surplus has become an important force in economic stability, to a certain extent, offsetting the negative impact of insufficient domestic demand.
