本研究考察了广西独立学院英语专业低年级学生的课外阅读习惯。调查结果表明:在网络、电子等新兴阅读方式的影响下,受调查学生仍普遍偏好传统的阅读介质;学生对课外阅读材料的选择仍以中文文献为主,所选英文阅读材料通常偏难,对英文简易读物的价值认识不足;他们对课外阅读耗时问题的认识不客观,单词量及语法基础是大部分学生扩大课外阅读量的阻碍因素;他们的课外阅读缺乏计划性、技巧性及合作性,对阅读后续的思辨和写作的重要性认识不足。教师应加强学生在上述各方面的意识,并发挥应有的指导作用。
This study examines the extra-curricular reading habits of lower-level English majors in Guangxi Independent College. The survey results show that under the influence of emerging reading methods such as internet and electronics, the surveyed students still generally prefer the traditional reading media. Students’ selection of extra-curricular reading materials is still mainly based on Chinese literature. The selected English reading materials are often difficult, They do not understand the time-consuming problem of extra-curricular reading, and their vocabulary and grammar are the obstructive factors for most students to expand extra-curricular reading. Their lack of planning, skill and cooperation in extra-curricular reading The lack of understanding of the importance of reading subsequent proofs and writing. Teachers should enhance students’ awareness in all aspects above and give due guidance.
