中国缝纫机协会、华联缝制设备销售服务总公司、中国服装工业总公司于1988年8月末在浙江省杭州市浙江展览馆联合举办“1989年全国缝制设备展样订货会”,来自全国21个省市的80多个参展单位拿出了服装、针织、鞋帽、箱包、皮革、化工等行业急需的升档、升级的优质产品和成套设备,并展出了最新研制成功的具有国际水准的三自动电脑高速平缝机、高速包缝机,多头电脑绣花机、高性能自动电裁刀等,共有350多个品种,这次展样订货会,与以往的订货会相比,不仅参展单位多,参展人数多,而且产品的质量提高了,品种增加了,高技术产品也多了。人们称它是缝制设备行业的一次体现时代风貌的博览会。
