Indonesia’s state-owned Pertamina has signed a memorandum of understanding with South Korea’s SK Energy, both of which plan to conduct a feasibility study on a 1.5 Mt / a bitumen oil refinery. Indonesia’s National Oil said the two companies have chosen Indonesia’s CNPC’s 34.8 × 104bbl / d Cilacap refinery in Central Java to undertake the feasibility study. The two companies or formed a joint venture to further promote the project, but it depends on the results of the feasibility study.
