在我国三百多个地方戏曲剧种中,川剧昆、高、胡、弹、灯声腔具备,生、旦、净、末、丑行当齐全,并以其独特的艺术风格和丰富的表现手法,在戏曲舞台上独树一帜,深受中外戏剧界的瞩目。川剧呈现出的千姿百态的人物形象、精湛奇巧的表演技艺、绚烂多姿的戏剧场面、浓郁隽永的乡土风情、亦庄亦谐的个性语言,使其成为我国地方戏曲园地中的一朵奇葩,在我国戏曲艺术历史长卷中占有重要的地位。川剧艺术源远流长,川剧事业生生不息:川剧从形成、演变到发展,迄今已有近三百年的历史。其间,它曾有过花团锦簇,也出现过枝叶凋零。是新中国成立后,这个古老的剧种才获得了新生和前所未有的发展。尤其是1982年中共四川省委提出“振兴川剧”以来,极大地调动了全省戏剧界的积极性,川剧界大胆探索,锐意进取,在“出人、出戏、出效益、赢得观众”方面,取得了足以自豪的成就。今天,川剧已经成为四川建设先进文化的载体、弘扬民族文化的品牌、展示地方文化的名片。
