菊城龙旋风是以西瓜品种开封106作母本、开封204作父本杂交育成的优质早熟西瓜新品种。果实椭圆形,单瓜重5.0~7.0 kg;果皮深绿色,上覆墨绿色锯齿条;果皮厚1.10 cm,籽中型,麻褐色,单瓜有种子224粒左右;果肉红色,瓤质脆,多汁,风味纯正,纤维少,口感好;中心部糖含量12.10%;在河南省开封市,小拱棚双膜覆盖栽培,6月下旬收获,果实发育期29天左右。2014年通过河南省农作物品种审定委员会审定。
Jucheng Dragon Tornado is a new variety of high quality precocious watermelon with the watermelon variety Kaifeng 106 as female parent and Kaifeng 204 as male parent.
