开幕式:中国的亮相就在北京奥运会向世界大展中国魅力的时候,远在北欧的挪威奥斯陆,一个被誉为地学界奥林匹克盛会的国际地质大会,几乎同期展示着中国的风采。8月6日下午(北京时间8月7日0时),第33届国际地质大会在奥斯陆国家会展中心正式拉开帷幕。大会主席阿尔内·比约吕克在致词中,出人意外地引用了中国总理温家宝的观点:地质科学没有国界,地质学家在同一个地球上工作,需要相互沟通、相互借鉴。
Opening Ceremony: China’s Appearance Just as the Beijing Olympic Games showed its charm in the world to China, Oslo, Norway, far away from northern Norway, an international geological conference honored as the Olympic galaxy of geosciences demonstrated the charm of China almost at the same time. On the afternoon of August 6 (Beijing time at 0:00 on August 7), the 33rd International Geological Congress officially opened at the Oslo National Convention Center. In his speech, General Assembly President Arne Bjerrüück unexpectedly cited the view of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao that geosciences have no boundaries and that geologists work on the same earth and need to communicate with each other and learn from each other.
