俄罗斯T-72BA主战坦克是1985年开始批量生产的T-72B和T-72B1等早期生产型坦克的现代化改进型。最初的改进方案于1993年提出,启动时间为1999年,2000年11月底结束试验,定型为T-72BA主战坦克。主要改进点是安装“接触”-5爆炸反应装甲(首批改进型坦克安装“接触”-1型)、1A40-1火控系统(尔后安装1A40-1M,2005年起安装1A40-1M2)、2E42“茉莉花”武器稳定器、V-84MS柴油机(2003年起安装V-92S2柴油机)。在T-72BA坦克的基础上又推出了T-72BA1。由于T-72B坦克是T-72系列中生产量和装备量最多的,因此,针对其实施的改进方案也最多,最佳的改进方案是2006年推出的T-72B“拒马”改进型坦克。本文根据俄罗斯最新资料对T-72BA坦克进行点评。
