对断层不稳定性问题进行了数学模拟.研究中以断裂力学与断裂动力学原理为基础,采用了复变函数论方法(其中包括保角映射和近似保角映射),求得了所研究问题的封闭形式的解析解.研究中明确了断层体的概念和定义了断层体特征尺寸物理量.侧重分析了断层体的有限尺寸效应和断层传播速度(尤其是断层高速传播速度)效应以及它们对断层不稳定性的作用.进一步解释了震源观测中发现的低应力降现象.
