1958年3月间,中共贵阳市委经多次研究,决定筹办新中国成立后第一份贵阳市委机关报——《贵阳日报》。并于8月1日正式创刊,随后于年底明确由当时市委统战部部长李延素同志任总编辑。李延素同志原山东金乡县人,1923年2月出生,1940年10月加入中国共产党,1941年6月参加革命工作。历任区各界抗日救国联合会青年委员、主任、区委副书记、书记、江西景德镇市中市区工委民运部副部长,贵州省委办公室秘书,贵阳市二区区长、区委书记、贵阳市委合作部长、统战部长等职,有极
