The available data indicate that the majority of patients with acute and severe acute myeloid leukemia can be treated with symptomatic comprehensive supportive therapy or with existing anti-lethal drugs. However, very severe myeloid or mild enteropathy only transplanted hematopoietic stem cells on the basis of comprehensive symptomatic treatment can achieve satisfactory results, indicating that hematopoietic stem cell transplantation plays an important role in the treatment of radiation sickness.
