PAU de Sanchinarro is currently a large clearing on the northeastern edge of the city of Madrid. Surrounded by highways, it is quickly becoming a suburb residence for the Guadarrama Hills. In order to break the previously conceived over-unity and blockage of “a closed block of six-story buildings”, the size of the apartment was used as a symbol of urban expansion and the entire area. The 22-storey building becomes one of the most expansive landscapes, while creating a distinctive mix of homogeneous urban neighborhoods. The designer opens up public space for the modern city on the tower, and a viewing platform 40 meters above the ground provides residents and their neighborhood with a community garden and a place to watch the skyline. Through this hole, The new urban environment and the surrounding area open. 16,000 square meters of buildings compact combination of a variety of different units, a collection of different social groups and lifestyles.
