芎藭因主产於四川灌縣一帶,所以一般稱作川芎。本草列为上品,主治中風、痙攣、驚風、頭痛等症。近年來又用以治療高血壓病。因此,我們列為治療高血壓藥物研究之一。按川芎的原植物係屬繖形科(Umbelliferae),過去都循作Cnidium univittatum Turcz.或Conioselinum univittatum Turcz.。但最近我們將灌縣所產的川芎全植物送植物所中山植物園鑑定,經定其正確學名應為Ligusticum wallichii Fr.。
Because it is mainly produced in the area of Guanxian in Sichuan, it is generally called Chuanxiong. Herbs are listed as top grade, attending strokes, paralysis, convulsions, and headaches. In recent years it has also been used to treat hypertension. Therefore, we are listed as one of the drugs for treating hypertension. According to the Umbelliferae family of the original plant genus of Chuanxiong, it used to be known as Cnidium univittatum Turcz. or Conioselinum univittatum Turcz. However, we recently identified the Chuanxiong Botanical Plant of the Chuan Botanical Garden, which was produced in Guanxian, and identified it as Ligusticum wallichii Fr.
