唐代蜀中女诗人薛涛,不仅写了许多脍炙人口的好诗,而且还是一位卓越的音乐家、书法家、工艺美术家.但由于封建的偏见陋习,《唐书》未予列传.其生平事迹虽散见于野史,然语焉不详或论述失实.是以千百年来众说纷纭,莫衷一是.我们试图从诗人作品中所露出的端绪,抽绎出较为切合诗人生平实际的有关依据,特别是对歧说较多的享年和婚恋问题略陈浅见:一、享年问题 薛涛生平的许多方面都和这一问题密切相关,如能获得一较为切近实际的解答,将使其他方面的问题得以迎刃而解.有关论说目前可归纳为四:(一)75岁说 见于《薛涛诗·附记》、《名媛诗归》、《唐音统签·薛涛》等书,或谓“(涛)得年最长”,或谓“自寿者相”.今人羊村先生的《女诗人薛涛》(以下简称《羊著》)则根据薛涛与郑纲结婚的大致年龄,认为尚无材料推翻旧说,从之为宜.以涛生于乾元元年(758年),卒于大和六年(832年).(二)63岁说 张蓬舟先生《薛涛诗笺》认为韦皋镇蜀起自贞元元年(785年),次年而召涛,时涛年16岁,逾及笄仅一年.由此上推,定涛生于大历五年(770年),卒于大和六年.

Ding Tao was born in Dali five years (770) and died in Yamato for six years.
