我们党历来非常重视新闻工作。始终认为,我们国家的报纸、广播、电视等是党、政府和人民的喉舌。这既说明了新闻工作的性质,又说明了它在党和国家工作中的极其重要的地位和作用。 在新的历史时期,新闻工作坚持为社会主义服务,为人民服务,就要坚定地全面准确地宣传党的基本路线,宣传建设有中国特色的社会主义的理论和决策,宣传全国各族人民在现代化建设和改革开放中的业绩和经验。当前,广大干部和群众都在贯彻四中全会、五中全会精神,各新闻单位要紧紧围绕维护和发展安定团结的政治局面,推进治理整顿和深化改革,实现国民经济持续、稳定、协调发展,加强社会主义精神文明建设,来部署和开展新闻宣传工作。
