但凡为“士”,均以“内圣外王”为毕生的追求目标,明代的士人也是如此.有明一代士人的人格塑造大体经历了五个阶段.如何处理“道”与“势”之间的矛盾是困扰明代士人的主要问题,他们在探寻的过程中逐渐迷失了自我.明代的残暴政治彻底打破了士人的幻想,使明末士人的士气几乎丧失殆尽.
