利益关系是人类社会最基本最普遍的关系,利益差别是任何社会都广泛存在的普遍现象。利益差别扩大导致利益分化,引发利益矛盾和利益冲突。为了社会正常发展就必须进行利益协调。马克思主义和西方经济学理论对此有过较多的阐述。国家是利益协调的主体,自从有了政党以后,在社会利益关系的协调中政党特别是执政党起着关键的作用。在利益分化的时代,我国社会利益差别也有不断扩大的趋势,并导致社会阶层的变动,逐步发展为现代社会阶层的雏形。利益过分分化影响社会正常发展,因而加强利益协调对构建社会主义和谐社会具有重要意义。中国共产党是社会主义事业的领导核心,也是利益协调的主要领导者,对社会利益关系协调起着关键作用。因而,在利益多元化和利益分化的新形势下,要不断增强和提高党对社会利益关系的协调能力。这就要求党必须按照利益协调原则、建立合理的利益协调机制、采取合适的利益协调途径对社会利益关系加以协调,促进社会主义社会和谐稳定而又快速发展。
