租界做为半殖民地的特殊产物,是帝国主义侵略和瓜分中国的一个缩影。列强在租界里肆意进行着政治、经济和文化侵略,列强在租界里肆意进行着政治、经济和文化侵略,给近代中国造成了极大的危害。但租界以现代化的市政建设、专业化和法制化的市政管理,为近代中国城市早期市政现代化的启动提供了直观、真实、具体的仿效样板,在中国城市早期现代化过程中产生了不容忽视的作用。
As a special product of the semi-colonies, the concession was a microcosm of imperialist aggression and the partition of China. The powers engaged in arbitrary political, economic and cultural aggression in the concession. The wanton conduct of political, economic and cultural aggression by the powers in the concession caused great harm to modern China. However, the concession with modern municipal construction, specialization and legalization of municipal administration has provided an intuitive, realistic and concrete follow-up model for the early initiation of municipal modernization in modern China, and has had a significant role to play in the early modernization of Chinese cities .
