柑桔种子发芽很慢,又容易丧失发芽力。为了研究影响柑桔种子生活力的因素,作者进行了两年的观察,现将结果概述于后: 一 柑桔种子发芽缓慢的原因 剥去内种皮的红桔种子,在培养皿中,保持27℃的恒温,进行催芽,第三天即开始萌芽。不去内种皮的,要二星期才发芽。可见柑桔种子的发芽条件,除了需要较高的温度和充分的水分外,还必须有充足的氧供其呼吸,才能迅速发芽。显然柑桔种子的内种皮,阻碍了空气的进入,因而发芽很慢。
