Corporate governance has generally been associated with improving the performance of shareholders. In this view, the scope of corporate governance includes responsibility, board of directors, information dissemination, investor engagement and more. The rules relating to good management have been adopted by many agencies such as the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development and the World Bank. There is ample evidence to support this view.
