陈澧在《切韵考》中用反切系联法得出《切韵》声类 40个,韵类 311个,并依此结论制了一个表（见《切韵考》卷四、卷五）。关于这个表,陈澧说:“切上字已定四十类,下字己定一韵一类、二类、三类、四类,乃取《广韵》每一音之第一字,以其切语上字声同类者直写之,下字韵同类者横写之,平上去入相承编排为表。孙愐曰:引字调音,各自有清浊（《唐韵》序后论）。今每一表中分清浊写之,使览者易明也。又校诸本之异,考增加之字,记于每表之后。”为了便于说明此表,以仙韵为例（依原文用繁体字）,分清声表和浊声表,标明声母（依陈澧的40声类）和四声,并用阿拉伯数字注明各小韵首字在《广韵》中的次序:
