弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫在其小说《到灯塔去》中描述了主要人物的三种人生态度和生活哲学,这三种人生哲学都有其局限性。其中拉姆齐夫人代表了爱的生活原则,这种原则在围巾与骷髅之争中由围巾来象征和隐喻,骷髅则暗示了世间永恒存在的阴暗与死亡,围巾与骷髅之争的结果似乎在告诉我们,用爱去遮掩人生的残缺,正如用围巾裹住骷髅一样,终将滑落,归于无力与无奈。完满的人生是来自不同生活原则的独立、互通与交融。
Virginia Woolf describes the three life attitudes and philosophy of life of the main characters in her novel The To The Lighthouse. All three philosophy of life have their limitations. Among them, Mrs. Ramsay represents the principle of the love of life, which is symbolized by scarves and metaphors in scarves and skulls. The skeletons imply the eternal darkness and death in the world. The result of the dispute between scarves and skeletons seems to be at Tell us that with love to cover up the incompleteness of life, as with a scarf wrapped in skeletons, will eventually fall, attributed powerlessness and helplessness. The perfect life comes from the independence, exchange and blending of different living principles.
